MCC is unique in its ability as a single contractor to engineer, furnish, install and integrate multi-media communication networks. This capacity is in part due to the Communications Engineering Group (CEG), within the MCC organization.

CEG was established to understand and promote the marriage of technological advances in the electronic field to client specific needs.

The group has developed an expertise in all facets of cable plants (i.e.; engineering installation, termination, testing, integration and networking) and the electronics that communicate over those plants. CEG has developed close ties with the industry’s leading fiber, connector, test equipment and networking hardware manufacturers such as Siecor, Systimax, Tektronix, Fluke, Hewlett Packard, Extreme Networks, and Cisco. The group is responsible for the introduction of all new product and or techniques to the field and any affiliated training. We have BICSI certified engineers in the organization.

The vast technical resources of this group have been of assistance to MCC project managers, field personnel and the clients in ensuring the smooth installation of the latest technologies. The resources and experience of this group are available to review all levels of the system design prior to the beginning of installation.

The engineering staff works closely with clients in developing unique test procedures to ensure that the cable plant and connecting electronics are properly tested and, if necessary, adjusted.

The group is continuously developing different approaches to automate all processes of a communications system installation, termination, testing as well as integration. CEG by this effort enables MCC to provide and maintain the highest quality and standards possible during the installation process.

The staff is experienced in Layers 1, 2 & 3, network operating systems and remote monitoring. CEG Systems Engineers have designed small and large scale networks utilizing the latest in switching, bridging, routing and gateway technology.

CEG support is available to MCC on every project. Systems engineers from CEG along with the MCC project managers work directly with the client’s staff to ensure uneventful system installation, cutover and integration. The Communications Engineering Group is continually learning new technologies keeping MCC at the forefront as a total systems provider.
